New students from Zambia, Congo and the Republic of South Africa

New students from Zambia, Congo and SAR have come to the Institute of International Education and Language Communication.

Uchivyo Sinkala is the first student from Zambia. He finished school in his native country and now he has come to TPU to study the Russian language at Pre-University Department.

“When I was going to Siberia I knew that it was very cold there. And the only thing I feel now is severe cold but winter hasn’t come yet. I’ve chosen TPU in order to gain experience and skills that I will use in my future. I have no regrets for my choice!”, Uchivyo Sinkala shares his impressions.

Uchivyo is planning to study at the Institute of Power Engineering next year.

Kibonge Bekuni Chirac came to Tomsk from the Republic of the Congo and now he is the only student from this country at TPU. After studying the Russian language Chirac will continue his studies in the field of Economics.

Setshedi Beatrice Mmathapelo came from the Republic of South Africa. But she was a student of IIE&LC 10 years ago. Beatrice has begun to study the Russian language. Then she is planning to study within a Master’s Degree Program in Nuclear Physics and Technologies. Beatrice wants to study the Russian language in order to communicate easily in Tomsk and Russia, to understand “Russian soul”.

“It was a surprise for me to find myself at the centre of attention. In my native country I am one out of many others but here I’m unique. To tell the truth, I really enjoy it. The classes have already begun and I don’t want to miss them”, Beatrice said.

We wish Uchivyo, Chirac and Beatrice good luck in the Russian language studying and sound Siberian health.
