First students from France, Greece and Cote dIvoire are awarded TPU Diplomas

This year 142 foreign students from 10 countries have graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic University and got their Diplomas. Students from France, Greece, Cote dIvoire and India are the first TPU graduates in the history of our University.

An official ceremony was held in the International Culture Centre for IIE&LC foreign and Russian students.

No doubt, our society requires strong, brave and creative young people. I am sure you are the people of this type. My advice for you is think, do, achieve everything enthusiastically - said Yuri Borovikov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

The majority of students from China, Mongolia, Greece, India, Nigeria, Turkey, Zimbabwe, Vietnam and Cote dIvoire studied within engineering programs such as physics, mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, geology, electronics and nanoelectronics. 49 students have Diplomas with honours.

Sringeri Umesh Vinanthi, a student from India, Bangalore says I have a Bachelor Diploma of my home University. I have chosen TPU Master program Electronics and Nanoelectronics because a friend of mine recommended me to study in Russia. So, I came to Tomsk as you can receive a good education at TPU. Now I plan to come to my native place and start my working career.

Kalioujny Boris, a student from France says Firstly, I chose Moscow for my future studies but it was very expensive. As a result, I have graduated from TPU within a Bachelor program now and would like to continue my studies here. I really appreciate TPU for support, great opportunities in studies and sport.

Mugwamba Tafadzwa,a student from Zimbabwe, was offered to study at TPU by the Embassy of his country. The Embassy helped me to make my choice and told me about TPU. I am so pleased with the level of engineering sciences.

Reference
This year 175 students from 11 countries (142 foreign and 33 Russian students) have graduated from the Institute of International Education and Language Communication. 56 students have Diplomas with honours, 26 students have Certificates of Merits and 2 students have Grateful letters from the Rector. 2 graduates have bronze medals for TPU Merits. Foreign students choose engineering programs such as physics, mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, geology, electronics and nanoelectronics.
