Forum Competition Won by TPU Student in Kaspiysk

The Second Caspian Forum of International Students in Kaspiysk and the Third Nationwide Convention were held in Astrakhan State University from the 3rd to 5th of October.

Tomsk Polytechnic University was represented by Purev Munhgerel (Mongolia), Tsevegmed Gantuyaa (Mongolia), Nguen Thi Ba Kuin (Vietnam) and Svetlana I. Sheveleva, Senior Tutor of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language IIE & LC, Head of the TPU delegation.

Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Benin in the Russian Federation and CIS states, Adu Yao Nikez, President of International Student Association, V. M. Philippov, Rector of PFUR (Peoples' Friendship University of Russia), Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, O. V. Artamonov, Head of the Department of International and Public Affairs of the Federal Migration Service, participated in the convention.

During the two-day session, issues of importance and problems of foreign students studying in Russia were discussed by representatives of 26 universities of Russia, youth leaders and volunteers.

A competition in Russian as a Foreign Language was held as a part of the convention. Purev Munhgerel, a TPU student from Mongolia, became the winner of the competition.
