Representatives of the Institute of International Education and Language Communication Took Part in the Seminar within “5-100” Programme

The period of late September and early October was marked by a significant event for the Russian winner Universities of competitiveness programmes (“road maps”), namely, a conference meeting organized in Moscow to plan further events and development strategies.

Participation in the section “Efficient International Marketing Development and Functionality Perfection in the Sphere of International Students’ Recruitment” proved to be the most fruitful for the representatives of IIE&LC.

The event was hosted by top-managers and highly qualified specialists from the United States of America:

  • Megan Brenn-White, Director of cognominal marketing company, having a huge experience in implementation of marketing strategies in higher education and introduction of communication means into international marketing;
  • Raymond Lutzky, representative of the New York University, Head of Department for Admission of International Students to Master’s degree and Post-graduate programmes in the Polytechnic School of Engineering of the New York University, an experienced and internationally recognized marketing expert.

The agenda of the section included webinars, practical tasks helping to reveal gaps and omissions in the sphere of international marketing and recruitment of international students to Russian universities.

The speakers introduced the latest technologies enabling to properly research international academic markets, assess the University’s PR service, and arrange the work process of the international marketing and recruiting.

When the section finished its work,, the Director of II&LC, Vyacheslav K. Erokhin held a working session with the representative of the New York University, Raymond Lutzky to discuss future prospects for development of Master’s degree and post-graduate students’ academic exchanges between the Universities. Following the results of the session, an agreement has been achieved to conduct a reference visit of the New York University (44th place in QS ranking) representatives to TPU to evaluate the opportunities of joint collaboration with TPU.
