Vietnamese Students of TPU Discussed Job Prospects with Petrovietnam Representatives
A representative delegation of the Vietnamese State Oil and Gas Corporation Petrovietnam paid a visit to Tomsk Polytechnic University on June 27, 2014. The delegation included the Heads of divisions and departments of the Corporation. The purpose of the visit was to get familiar with the TPU’s experience and achievements in the sphere of training specialists and scientific staff and conducting R&D.
The delegation involved Deputy Head of the Corporation Gas Department Le Duc Quang, Deputy Head of Gas and Oil Contract Management Department Trinh Viet Thang, Head of New Projects Development Support Division in the Oil and Gas Production Department Pham Gia Minh, Deputy Head of the Personnel Training Division in Personnel Training and Development Department Nguyeng Thi Mi Hanh and others.
One of the highlights in the delegation agenda included a meeting with the Vietnamese students at TPU. During the meeting Vyacheslav K. Erokhin, Director of the Institute of International Education and Language Communication, told the guests about the cooperation with the Vietnamese students, and the expansion of the Institute’s collaboration with Vietnam universities and schools. On the part of the students, the speech was prepared by a Master degree student of TPU Tran Mi Kim An, who told the guests about the work of the Vietnamese community in Tomsk and students’ success in study and research.
The most anticipated part of the meeting was a possibility to communicate and ask each other different questions. Naturally, most of all the students were interested to learn more about possibilities to do a practical training and further employment in Petrovietnam.
When the official part was over, the honorary guests and students could not break up for a rather long time, continuing making acquaintance and discussion in an informal setting.
