The competition “Musical Polytechnic University” was held at TPU

On March 16, at the International Cultural Center of TPU the competition “Musical Polytechnic University” was held where the university students and staff participated. The competition had the following categories of performance:

  • groups, ensembles (rock, electronic, acoustic, modern variety music);
  • Solo, duets, trio, quartets: vocal composition of any music direction (rap, ballad song, variety art (vaudeville) etc.);
  • Soloists-instrumentalists, duets on various instruments (guitar, saxophone, piano etc.);

The Institute for International Education and Language Communication presented 11 performances:

  • Konovalova Vassa Alekseevna, a student of TPU sang the song in French “Mon mec à moi”;
  • Volkova Tatyana Fedorovna ,an associate professor , sang the song “Autumn leaves” in the nomination vocal-solo;
  • Starishnikova Sofya Aleksandrovna a student of TPU, sang the song “A lullaby” from repertoire of Polina Gagarina;
  • Fam Ngok Thu, a course-attendee of the Preparatory course, sang “A small waltz” in the nomination soloist-instrumentalist;
  • Stepanova Anna Aleksandrovna ,a specialist of TPU, sang “I still love”;
  • Gereeva Zalina Alikova sang the song in English “Killing me softly”;
  • Batbaar Dulamser and Munhbat Galinder sang the Mongolian song “Ulemzhin chanar”;
  • The duet from Vietnam – Fam Chi Kuong and Kao Thi Thu Hen sang the romantic song in Vietnamese language “A happy way”;
  • The second year student, Votyakov Ivan Aleksandrovich sang the song “Minstrell Hall”.
    • There were also very interesting joint performances of students and staff of the Institute for International Education and Language Communication.

      • The spectators were astonished by the performance of Konovalova Vassa and Stepanova Anna, who sang the song “Whom? What for?”.
      • Kirzhakova Galina Yurevna, a specialist on social work of the Institute for International Education and Language Communication, sang the song in French “tombe la neige” with the help of Duhova Marina Vladislavovna – laboratory assistant, Pyrsikov Aleksander Sergeevich – student of group number 12191 and Sergeev Ivan Vitalevich – student of group number 12270 who were responsible for choreographic part of the performance.
