Sixtieth anniversary of Foundation of People's Republic of China is celebrated in International Hostel of the Institute for International Education and Language Communication of TPU.

On October 1, 2009 at an assembly hall of the International Hostel of the Institute for International Education and Language Communication of TPU a great fete devoted to sixtieth anniversary of Foundation of People's Republic of China was held. Chinese students conducted a great concert on the occasion of their country anniversary. The hall was crowded with people: teachers and guests came to congratulate Chinese students on their holiday.The event was held in two languages: Chinese and Russian. Students and guests sang songs and national anthem, got acquainted with history of China, took part in calligraphy and kung fu workshops, and participated in hilarious quiz in Chinese Culture.

Tatiana S. Petrovskaya, Director of the IIE&LC, Vladimir M. Zamyatin, Deputy Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Sergey N. Ephimov, the president of the regional organization "Multicultural Tomsk", IIE&LC staff, international students from Brazil, Vietnam, Italy, India, Mongolia, Indonesia congratulated Chinese students on their national holiday.

Such events on the occasion of national holidays are good tradition, which has wide sanction in the Institute for International Education and Language Communication. They allow students not only to feel at home, but engraft tolerance and efface the boundaries between different cultures.
