Victory Day and Indian Dances at Veterans House
On May 14, 2016 the fourth concert of foreign and Russian TPU students was held at Veterans House.
Residents of Veterans House were looking forward to foreign students despite a large amount of creative meetings and arrangements there.
“It is the final concert this year and we have organized a very interesting program for you. We hope our original performances will surprise you!”, said Julia Kirilova, a concert organizer and director.
Afifi Sameh Helmy Fadel, Anter Zid Ali Ali Hassen, Parthayana Ida Bagus Ngurah, students from Egypt, Yemen and Indonesia declaimed poems in Russian about World War II by Konstantin Simonov. Doan Thi Hoa Hue performed a poem “Chulochki” by Musa Jalil. The performances touched the guest's hearts.
Nguyen Quoc Huy, a regular participant of concerts at Veterans House sang a song in English.
Tomsk School 47 also took an active part in the concert. Vocal band “Disposition” performed war songs and poems.
Juanita and Sussane Fransis performed an Indian dance which was the most memorable event within the program. Yanina Kinderknekht and Mariya Shuvalova helped girls to make a dance “Bollywood”. Ilhami Gilang Ramadhan from Indonesia became the fifth dancer.
The most surprising thing was the performance of the residents of Veterans House. Rimma N. Palagina, a chair of Veterans Council and her staff sang a song “Two eagles”.
The next concert will be organized at the end of September, 2016.
