This year the Russian Language Summer School of Tomsk Polytechnic University has brought together over 130 international students. The second session of classes at the School will last until August 26.
«But for winter in cities and villages…” Accompanied by the sounds of this popular Russian song about winter an annual Winter school of the Russian language and culture in Tomsk Polytechnic University was over. It’s several years that TPU has been organizing an intensive academic and rich cultural programme for foreigners who are interested in the Russian language and culture. 13 students from Germany, Austria, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, People’s Republic of China and Korea attended Winter school from January,16 to February,3.
On Epiphany international students of Tomsk Polytechnic University and the participants of the Winter Russian language and culture school got acquainted with Russian Orthodox traditions, visited the Church of the Resurrection, and even took part in the Epiphany bathing. Four students from Germany, Vietnam and India plunged into the ice-hole and shared their impressions of this Russian Orthodox rite.
